 DNCE is an American pop rock band. The group consists of members Joe Jonas, Jack Lawless, Cole Whittle, and JinJoo Lee. The group signed with Republic Records, who released their debut single, "Cake by the Ocean", in 2015. The song had success in various territories, reaching number 9 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Their debut extended play, SWAAY (2015), received a generally positive reception upon release. They also were nominated for Favorite New Artist for the 2016 Kids' Choice Awards and Best Song to Lip Sync and Best Anthem for the 2016 Radio Disney Music Awards.

Twenty One Pilots (often stylized as twenty one pilots or TWENTY ØNE PILØTS, and sometimes abbreviated as TØP) is an American musical duo originating from Columbus, Ohio. The band was formed in 2009 by Tyler Joseph along with former members Nick Thomas and Chris Salih, who eventually left in 2011, and currently consists of lead vocalist and keyboardist Tyler Joseph and drummer Josh Dun. They put out two self-released albums, Twenty One Pilots in 2009 and Regional at Best in 2011, before being signed by Fueled by Ramen in 2012. They released their debut album signed with a label, Vessel, with Fueled by Ramen in 2013. On May 17, 2015, their second signed album, Blurryface, was released two days earlier than intended, through the same label.

Aubrey Drake Graham (born October 24, 1986) is a Canadian rapper, singer, songwriter, record producer, and actor. Drake initially gained recognition as an actor on the teen drama television series Degrassi: The Next Generation in the early 2000s. Intent on pursuing a solo career as a rapper, he departed the series in 2007 following the release of his debut mixtape, Room for Improvement. He would go onto release two further independent projects, Comeback Season and So Far Gone, before signing to Lil Wayne's Young Money Entertainment in June 2009.

Fifth Harmony is an American girl group formed on the second season of the The X Factor USA in July 2012. The group consists of members Ally Brooke, Normani Kordei, Dinah Jane, Camila Cabello, and Lauren Jauregui. They signed a joint deal with Syco Music, owned by Simon Cowell, and Epic Records, L.A. Reid's record label, after finishing in third place on the show.
Following their exit from The X Factor, they released their debut single "Miss Movin' On", which charted within the Hot 100 and was certified gold in the U.S.. The following year, the video won the group the Artist to Watch award at the MTV Video Music Awards. Their debut EP, Better Together was released in 2013 with a first week position of number six on the U.S. Billboard 200. The group released their debut studio album, Reflection in 2015 debuting at number five on the Billboard 200 and receiving a gold certification from the RIAA. The album included the platinum singles "Boss", "Sledgehammer" and "Worth It". The latter achieved triple platinum certification in the U.S. and reached the top 10 in thirteen countries. "Work from Home", the lead single from their sophomore album 7/27 (2016), became the group's first top 10 single on the Billboard Hot 100.
With 7.5 million certified records sold in the United States, Fifth Harmony has emerged as the most successful alumni from the X Factor U.S. franchise.

Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, born 16 July 1990, Popularly known by his stage name Wizkid (sometimes stylised as WizKid), is a Nigerian recording artist, songwriter and performer. He started his musical career at age 11, releasing a collaborative album with Glorious Five entitled Lil Prinz (2001). In 2009, he signed a record deal with Banky W.'s imprint Empire Mates Entertainment. He rose to prominence in 2010 with the release of the song "Holla at Your Boy" from his debut studio album, Superstar (2011). "Tease Me/Bad Guys", "Don't Dull", Gidi Girl, "Love My Baby", "Pakurumo" and "Oluwa Lo Ni" were also released as singles from the Superstar album. Jude Abaga (born 4 October 1981), known professionally as M.I or M.I Abaga, is a Nigerian hip hop recording artist, songwriter, and record producer. He has been the Chief Executive Officer of Chocolate City since June 2015. He won Best Hip Hop and Best New Act at the 2009 MTV Africa Music Awards, and was nominated in the Best International Act category at the BET Awards 2010. He rose to prominence in 2006 when his song "Crowd Mentality" became popular in his hometown of Jos. His critically acclaimed debut studio album, Talk About It, was released on 11 December 2008. The LP was succeeded by M.I 2 (2010). Four years after that, he released his third studio album titled The Chairman.

Patrick Nnaemeka Okorie (born 27 May 1990), Popularly known as Patoranking, is a Nigerian reggae-dancehall singer and songwriter with family roots in Ebonyi State, Southeastern Nigeria. He started his musical career doing underground collaborations with artists such as XProject, Konga, Slam and Reggie Rockstone. He signed a record deal with K-Solo's Igberaga Records in 2010, releasing "Up in D Club" under the outfit. Patoranking became a protégé of Dem Mama Records after collaborating with Timaya on his song "Alubarika". In February 2014, he signed a record deal with Foston Musik and released "Girlie O", a single that put him in the limelight. On 9 February 2015, Patoranking announced via Instagram that he signed a distribution deal with VP Records.
